The PP eliminates the "Canadian visa" of its Congress and advocates for an electoral pact with Colau

A little over a week to celebrate its XIII Congress, the PSC has reformulated the policy paper that discussed two notable developments: the elimination of written allusion to the "Canadian way" and the commitment to a future electoral alliance with the leftist party that prepares Ada Colau.

Socialist sources have explained that with the new wording of which should be the roadmap the party for the coming years, has integrated the spirit of the "90 percent" of amendments to several groups and activists had submitted the original text.

In the first draft paper he defended the constitutional reform, but added that if the Catalans reject it, they should raise democratic alternative instruments such as, "for example, a law clearly as Canadian." This paragraph was interpreted as that, if it failed constitutional reform, the PSC would support a referendum on independence as that was held in Canada on Quebec.

In the new drafted, however, do not appear allusions to Canada and concludes that "in any event, the PSC will defend a federal and democratic approach to seeking an agreement that citizens in a referendum to ratify." "We proposed something that was not understood" argue about the initial drafted, and explain that do not include a plan 'b' to the constitutional reform because if this was not supported by the public, the system would go into crisis, Efe reported.

The same sources claim that it was "contradictory and generated confusion" defend the constitutional reform and turn the "Canadian way", so that the reworded text focuses exclusively on the reform of the Constitution.

Alliances with Colau
The current wording of the paper also argues that the PSC will look for the "closest possible collaboration between leftist forces", which passes through an alliance with the confluence of lefts that seeks to promote Colau, although the PSC excludes CKD and CUP for being separatists.

The text remains in the initial proposal, but the same sources explained that the meaning of this paragraph means seeking an electoral alliance of the PSC with the party of the mayor, and that "go together" in the list is the only way left wins election to Parliament.

The match Colau is in progress, it BComú, ICV, EUiA, can and Equo involved, and the PSC will launch this offer when two assumptions are met: that the socialist Congress supports it, and when the confluence of the left of the mayor sees the light.

The paper includes a reference to what should be the relationship between the PSC and the PSOE after the last weeks of tensions: "The PSC, now more than ever, must return to being the party with its own legal personality and sovereign."

According to the PSC this is a "wink" to the PSOE because it involves maintaining the protocol unit currently establishing the PSC is an independent party PSOE but brother; so, the Catalan Socialists want to break voting discipline in Congress has no consequences.

Militants who come to the November congress could raise reformulate relations with the PSOE through an amendment of the Constitution, but would require a very broad support and the same sources predict: "This will not happen."
